Bohning Hot Melt Ferr-L-Tite

Ferr-L-Tite is the hot melt adhesive Bohning has made since 1946 for fixing points, inserts and outserts in wood and aluminium arrows. You melt the stick over an open flame, and the joint sets in about 5 minutes at room temperature.

• Melts at: 350°F (176.7°C)

• Holds: points, inserts and outserts

Changing a point later

The bond is heat reversible. Warm the point again and the glue softens, so you can adjust or pull a point for a field repair or an upgrade.

Carbon shafts, or anything that should stay away from a flame, suit Ferr-L-Tite Cool Flex, which softens in boiling water.
