Cool Flex is Bohning’s low temperature hot melt for carbon and small diameter arrows, where a flame could damage the shaft. It melts at about 77°C, so boiling water, steam or gentle heat is enough to set inserts, outserts and points.
| Melting point | About 77°C |
|---|---|
| Heat source | Boiling water, steam or low heat; no flame |
| Glue stick | 12 grams |

| Cured finish | Clear and slightly flexible |
In use
Carbon shafts take the glue without softening or splintering. After curing it holds firm on impact yet stays a little flexible, which damps vibration and helps components last. Heat it again to free an insert for a repair in the field.
Wood and aluminium shafts that can take a flame suit the higher temperature Ferr-L-Tite hot melt.
